Who am I?

Hello! I’m Laurie and I’m a read-aholic. Is there some sort of support group for this?

I’ve had my nose stuck in a book ever since I can remember. As a child, I devoured everything from picture books to Nancy Drew. I begged for books every time my family went to the bookstore and snuck in Scholastic orders at school.

I’m your stereotypical library assistant (big surprise – hey?) – lover of books, cardigans, tea, and cats. I’m a voracious reader, partial to teen fiction and popular fiction, but willing to try out just about anything literary wise.

When I’m not reading, I’m hanging out with my cats and dog (named Jeff Bridges – honestly maybe the most ridiculous name for a pet but it’s fitting somehow), pretending to be a runner, eating everything in sight, and thinking up my next big challenge.

I am going to be blogging as I’m reading. Some weeks I might be posting every other day, some weeks I might not post at all.

Hope you enjoy my journey.

As always, any comments, questions and, most importantly, book suggestions, please send them my way 🙂

  1. Laurie,
Thank you for visiting my online writing studio, and for opting to follow my work.

Sometime this summer, Warren Publishing will release my first children’s book, Stinky and the Night Mare, which appears somewhere on my site (you’ll have to search it).

I have two more Stinky stories in mind, and with the completion of five or more that I am satisfied with, will compile them together in — guess what? Yes, the Stinky Stories.

Your input as an avid reader is critical to writers, so, please, comment, comment, comment with as much criticism as you like.

It’s the only way I’ll improve enough to produce quality work.
